Find Your Way

Every young man needs someone to point the way. We walk with fatherless young men — into the wild, into brotherhood, and toward the One who sets the bearing.

Why We're Here

There's an ache a map can't fix.

Some young men are missing a father. Some are grieving a loss. Some are just wishing they'd had the guidance every child deserves — someone to show them how to work, how to fail, how to stand back up, how to become a man worth trusting.

Compass Outdoors steps into that gap. We take young men into the backcountry where the noise falls away, surround them with mentors who keep showing up, and point them to Jesus — the True North that holds steady when everything else moves.

Nobody finds their way alone.

What We Do

Three things, done well

Adventure

Real wilderness — rock faces, cold rivers, long trails. Hard things, done together, that show a young man he's capable of more than he thought.

Brotherhood

A pack that has your back. Around the fire, the masks come off. Here a young man learns he belongs — and that he's worth showing up for.

Discipleship

Mentors who walk the trail alongside, not ahead. We open the Scriptures honestly and let Jesus set the bearing for the whole journey.

The Trail

The journey a young man takes

Discipleship isn't a single weekend — it's a trail walked over time. Here's how a young man moves from the trailhead to leading others down it.

  • 01

    The Trailhead

A young man is referred — by a guardian, school, church, or friend. We meet his family, earn trust, and welcome him in. No cost, no catch.

  • 02

    First Steps

His first trip. New faces become a crew. He tastes the outdoors, meets mentors who show up, and starts to believe he belongs here.

  • 03

    Finding Footing

Through the seasons, the rhythm builds — trips, check-ins, hard conversations. Roots go down. Jesus stops being an idea and becomes a bearing.

  • 04

    Leading the Way

He turns around and reaches back — mentoring the next young man up the trail. The one who was found now helps others find their way.
